[ So Joshua lost the final round of the Advanced tournament. But his disappointment has been mitigated because today, he's made a discovery.

When the feed turns on, it's not the usual shaky, unsteady footage that's been coming from Joshua's gear the past few months. Nope! Joshua is holding the device, grinning happily, the only remains of his symptoms an ash-blond to purple gradient on his hair that's growing out by the day. ]

It seems the last of the side effects of that plague have finally started fading. I must say, I do miss being able to hold my electronics without shorting them.

So how did everyone enjoy the tournament?

[ He giggles, goes to flip his hair... ZAP! A bright spark jumps from his hand to his face and Joshua drops the gear in surprise with a cringe. Seems the sickness wasn't going to disappear without one last parting shot.

I had worse shocks before. And here I was thinking no longer sparking metal meant I'd left this behind me for good.

Apparently not according to the information. A plague did this? I've not heard anything that could do something like that before.

It was several months ago. You can ask around about it, but it essentially seemed to give people Pokemon powers. For a little while, at least. [ He giggles. ] The rest of the symptoms stuck around.

I suppose that accounts for the sparking and, ah, purple hair?

I used to have these lovely orange markings, too. [ The sarcasm is audible in his voice. They were not lovely, he hated them. ]

I take it you're new around here, then?

Yeesh. I didn't think purple and orange were very...flattering.

[He grins, a little sheepish.]

It was a reasonable question. Most people haven't publicly sparked themselves, I imagine. [ The more casual he is about it, the less likely people are to laugh at him for it. ]

Well, that really depends on your standards for "okay", I suppose. But we'll go with that anyway.

My standard would be that you're unhurt. The sparking thing seems to be an inconvenience. Unless it physically pains you when that happens?
