Does anyone want to let me in on what's going on? I can't say that falling asleep then waking up in a different place is something I experience often, and when it is it's usually a certain someone's fault, but he doesn't seem to be around at the moment. So I suppose anyone who cares to answer this will have to do.

Quite the anime, I'd imagine. So we're now living in a video game, there are people from what might as well be fiction, to them we're from a magical dimension... Hee hee, all we need is a Slammurai and the fourth wall will be no more.

Characters from a popular TV show back in my world. Not the same in yours, then, I take it. [ Which ironically enough were their own breach of the 4th wall in-game. ]

If it is, it's not one I've seen. Though I don't really follow too many TV shows... [[a little sheepish there. He just watches one or two anime sometimes, but mostly, free time is for games!]] But my world does seem to be a bit different than everyone else's with what it likes.

There's a specific game that's really popular there, Duel Monsters, and I'm starting to think that it being so popular has crowded out a lot of other things, like this game, that so many other people got to play back in their worlds. [[Just a little touch jealous, but not really. He was getting to play it from inside the game, so it wasn't as if he was being deprived of it!]]

Hee hee, I see. Well, Pokemon did have its couple years in the sun back where I'm from, but a little game called Tin Pin Slammer won the market's adoration soon after.

I wonder what makes different games become popular in different worlds? It's fascinating.

Maybe it has to do with which ones are there? [[or which ones were real, in the case of Duel Monsters...]] Or something else that's different in the world, like where a game came from or what support it had.

An interesting idea. In the end, it's the people who make the difference though. What gets sponsored, what gets exposure, and what even gets made? It's all up to the people of each world.

No, probably not. Far as he was aware of it, that just seemed to always be a side effect of the game... that and he hadn't really played it until meeting Yuugi and everyone...]]

Not that I can think of. Most of the things I like aren't too popular to start with, so it just makes me really happy to know others like them too!
