And here I'd thought I'd seen it all, but this world is always one for new surprises. I suppose it's also a case of "buyer beware".

[ He turns the camera around, and a newly-hatched Litwick is sitting innocently on the table in front of him. ]

Are there any suggestions for feeding this that don't involve giving it my life energy? I'd rather like to keep that, myself.

[ The Litwick makes a soft whistling sound and tilts to the side, and Joshua gives a frustrated sigh as he cuts the feed. ]

Then you could always go out into the tall grass and have it feed off of wild Pokémon. Or I guess you could release it into the wild, though who knows what the chances are of it coming back to enact revenge for such heartless abandonment and neglect.

If I wanted to let it go, I would have done so already. That hardly seems fair when it just needs to eat.

Wild Pokemon might be a possibility, though.

If it weakens the surrounding Pokémon, it might make your soul-sucking candle there easier to train as well.

[But again, more familiar with soul devouring valkyrie than life-sucking candles.]

Ah, but threats only work when there's intimidation. The reaction to this would probably be more disbelief than fear.

That is true. However, you never truly know who has an irrational fear of sentient lighting.

Hitodama are said to be the recently departed taking on the form of small, blue fireballs. Though since I suppose these Pokemon are ghosts, the resemblance isn't quite as disturbing as one would normally expect.

Also that they're smiling candles with big eyes--er, eye-- and tiny wax arms.

Candles aren't exactly the most intimidating of objects. I'd imagine a demonic floodlight would be a more useful light source for that sort of thing.
