Oddly enough, yes. This land in particular seems empathetic towards its residents and is somewhat inconsistent upon treatment. It either charms them, or it just toys with them, sometimes switching from one to the other. These mass distributions of eggs and pokémon have happened before, but what source would go through the effort of distributing them? They're also distributed to only people like us - foreigners to the land, which means most reasonable sources are crossed out because they don't acknowledge us as anything out of the ordinary.
