Feather 4 [Video/Action for Violet City]

[ The feed turns on to find Joshua outside the Violet City Gym, holding a Zephyr badge with an Eevee perched on his shoulder, a newly-evolved Gardevoir dancing and singing softly behind him. ]

So, these badges. Is there actually a point to them besides collecting them? I'm sure they make lovely conversation pieces, but I'm looking for a bit more than that.

And an unrelated question. Are comas a common occurrence around here? Humor my curiosity.

[ The woman at the Pokemon Center had seemed remarkably unperturbed that he'd been asleep for over a month. ]

Indeed there are. Just as Trainers are expected to train their Pokémon to battle against the gym leaders, Breeders are expected to... well, breed their Pokémon. However, both are assigned from the start from what I can tell, so it's up to luck which one you get.

In some ways, yes. Although there have been cases of breeders ending up with a surprise batch of eggs, and having to scramble to find them homes. Not to mention finding Pokémon with matching egg types to breed in the first place, and learning which moves can be passed on...

Then again, I can also see how people would prefer one over the other. I'm definitely grateful to have the job of a breeder simply because I don't find much enjoyment in battling.
