Feather 8 [Video]

[ When the video turns on, a blue Gardevoir's face is taking up half of the picture. She looks at the Gear curiously and rotates it a bit, then a voice can be heard from off screen. ]

Is it on now? Point it this way.

[ She looks up and after a moment the camera swings around to show Joshua sitting on a bed, hair and clothes messy as if he just woke up but otherwise cheerful enough. He waves at the camera. ]

Hee hee, hello everyone. Feels like I've been asleep forever. I don't suppose anyone else who caught that plague a while back is still suffering for it? This [ and he reaches up to twist that little curl of now-purple hair ] certainly hasn't gone away yet.

More importantly, it seems I'm still having some trouble handling my PokeGear. For the meantime, Gardevoir will have to be my cameraman. She doesn't quite know what she's doing yet. This is her learning experience. [ There's a soft "Gaaar..." of protest, but Joshua simply giggles, focusing off-camera for a moment. ] Unfortunately, you're the only one I have with hands.

Ah, yes. In the interest of discussion, how about telling me about something or someone that was important to you back home that you don't have here. I'm curious.

... You can turn it off now.

[ There's a sudden flurry of movement as Gardevoir puts the Gear down and leans over it, trying to figure out what to do. After a couple seconds Joshua's hair can be seen peeking into the frame. ]

That one. The one you used to start it.

[ Then the video ends. ]

(( OOC: so Gardevoir is going to be making mistakes here and there all over the replies. If you'd rather not have mistakes in your thread, just let me know. ))

Yup!

... you're actually the only person I've seen with lingering effects that severe...

[It's okay Gardevoir, the shift key is overrated anyway. Who needs it?]

hehe, just be careful that she doesn't get too attached to it or you will never get it back.
some days i am half tempted to buy my lopunny her own gear so that i always know where mine is for once.
but yeah, i still have some symptoms.
but i also had the plague pretty bad so i guess it makes sense that that they would take longer to wear off.

when i had powers, i managed to blow up a bathroom as well as short circuit several gears.
as for the mutations themselves...

[He flicks the camera on for a second. While the splotches and stripes have finally faded away from his skin entirely, the horns, fangs, cat-eyes, and blue lips have done no such thing. He switches back to text pretty quick though. Talking is kind of a nightmare with those chompers.]

my skin was discolored for a while too but that finally faded away completely about a week ago.

hehe, i can imagine.
she's pretty good at typing though, especially if this is only her second time using it.
dude really? that sucks.
i guess i should consider myself lucky that the static didn't linger.
it's not even just us though, my fiancee still has some side effects too. like you, she still has some purple hair and her body temperature is still ridiculously low.
i kind of wonder why it's wearing off faster for some than others.

Well, they're my friends but I'm not as close to them compared to my best friend.

Well... They can't linger that much longer... At this point it's probably all just related to how strong your "powers" were. I barely had any at all, so mine wasn't that extreme.

["plague"?]

Mm. Just about everything changed, when I came here. The environment, the people, the way of life, my very species. I'd lived in one home and known one close friend for a very long time, and going without them is...different. Difficult. Often pleasant, though.

But this is the first I've heard of a plague. Are you all right?

[oh well that's good.

...what kind of plague turns you orange, though...?]

Indeed. Nothing so drastic that I had to relearn walking or moving, though I've been told there are those in Johto who weren't so lucky.

yeah, it does. that was about all i could think of as well.
there might be some other variables in there though.
like general health-type issues since it is technically some kind of sickness.
like you know how some people just naturally spring back a little faster than others?
who really knows though.

hehe, hopefully your static fingers will go away soon.

A kind of monster called univir. Human-like in appearance, but in truth closer in origin to creatures not unlike Pokemon than to humans themselves.

Ah... Y-Yeah... A few of mine were really upset with me if I let them out when it first started. I'm glad the whole aggression factor didn't linger as long as everything else or this would have been a very depressing time.
ghostytrainer: (pester pester!)

text forever because wow i keep forgetting to change this

[personal profile] ghostytrainer 2012-10-03 08:22 pm (UTC)(link)
when you say out, i'm guessing it was one of those weird memory coma things?
or were you just unconscious with no reasonable explanation?
