usedfeatherdance: (Bad Sho. No biscuit.)
[ CLATTER CLATTER. That's the sound of the Gear turning on as it falls to the ground, briefly catching a glimpse of Joshua before he's pushed out of view by a large, white shape. It only takes a second before the white fades into a Lapras. The Pokemon makes a soft cooing noise as it looks around, then it's gaze seems to settle on something. A few seconds later, an Absol walks into view of the camera and gives the Lapras a small nudge. It makes another noise then starts moving awkwardly, leaving the view of the camera in the process. There's several more seconds of shuffling noises, then a very dirty and very frustrated Joshua pulls himself upright and grabs the Gear, glaring at the Absol. ]

You ran out from under me.

[ And with that he turns off the feed.

A few minutes later, he turns it back on and appends the following: ]

I would have thought two hundred and twenty kilograms would have felt a lot heavier. Regardless, as I'm sure you're all so very worried about me, I think I'm fine.

If there's a lesson to learn here, it's is to beware what eggs you're carrying and how. Not that I wasn't aware that nature ignores all logic here, but that was still a bit more than I was expecting.
usedfeatherdance: (I solemnly swear I am up to no good)
[ When the video turns on, a blue Gardevoir's face is taking up half of the picture. She looks at the Gear curiously and rotates it a bit, then a voice can be heard from off screen. ]

Is it on now? Point it this way.

[ She looks up and after a moment the camera swings around to show Joshua sitting on a bed, hair and clothes messy as if he just woke up but otherwise cheerful enough. He waves at the camera. ]

Hee hee, hello everyone. Feels like I've been asleep forever. I don't suppose anyone else who caught that plague a while back is still suffering for it? This [ and he reaches up to twist that little curl of now-purple hair ] certainly hasn't gone away yet.

More importantly, it seems I'm still having some trouble handling my PokeGear. For the meantime, Gardevoir will have to be my cameraman. She doesn't quite know what she's doing yet. This is her learning experience. [ There's a soft "Gaaar..." of protest, but Joshua simply giggles, focusing off-camera for a moment. ] Unfortunately, you're the only one I have with hands.

Ah, yes. In the interest of discussion, how about telling me about something or someone that was important to you back home that you don't have here. I'm curious.

... You can turn it off now.

[ There's a sudden flurry of movement as Gardevoir puts the Gear down and leans over it, trying to figure out what to do. After a couple seconds Joshua's hair can be seen peeking into the frame. ]

That one. The one you used to start it.

[ Then the video ends. ]

(( OOC: so Gardevoir is going to be making mistakes here and there all over the replies. If you'd rather not have mistakes in your thread, just let me know. ))
usedfeatherdance: (Charging my lasers)
[ Video ]

Someone please, stop them!

[ The first thing visible in the video is a very distressed blue Gardevoir. She's speaking Pokemon, so sorry to any humans listening in. But to anyone, person or Pokemon, watching the feed it's quite obvious how upset she is. ]

I... I don't like him like this, either! But I don't want everyone to start fighting like this! They won't listen to me, and I can't stop all of them... Someone, please...

[ And with that, she turns the feed around to show what's in front of her.

Two pairs of combatants are standing off against each other. On one side is an Absol and a very agitated Espeon. On the other side, a Luxio and Joshua himself. For anyone whose dealt with someone manifesting powers by now, it's not hard to tell what's going on. Obvious orange marks are all over Joshua's skin, and those who've seen him before might realize that his hair is now completely purple. There's also the fact that he's completely surrounded in electricity, appears to be floating, and has made giant wings of electricity on his back. ]

We're about to leave Goldenrod City, and--

[ Suddenly the Absol leaps forwards at Joshua. Gardevoir's cry of surprise is quickly drowned out as Joshua waves a hand, bringing forth a crash of static to the feed, and it soon cuts out. ]

[ Action ]

[ The battle is rather easy to notice for anyone in the vicinity of the north exit of Goldenrod. Joshua's fighting style has always been on the flashier side, and Thunder is quite the attack to draw attention.

Eventually and with Luxio's help, he manages to subdue his Absol and Espeon, at which point he'll be continuing his original plan of heading up Route 35. Well, so much for keeping all his Pokemon healthy in a time of crisis... and now he has to walk, too. Sigh. ]

( Replies to the video post will come after the battle, at which point Josh will either respond himself or let his Gardevoir talk to other Pokemon while he watches. )
