[ That brilliant plan to stay off the network had been working really well for Joshua. At least until one afternoon of training his Vulpix took Joshua away from his Espeon and Luxray just long enough for him to come back to a batch of eggs. So it's time to break the silence and let a certain someone at least know he's out there.

Dammit you two, why can't you keep your affections to yourselves.

I have a few Shinx eggs I'm looking to sell off for... oh, let's say a thousand each. I also still have one from the previous batch I'll give away for 25% off. Both parents have grown since then, so that one probably won't start with as many moves as the full-priced eggs.

Out of curiosity, can Pokemon be spayed or neutered?

Sometimes trainers are out on the roads with no end in sight. When I bought my first egg I had just made it through the Ilex forest and was still days out of Goldenrod. I must have been quite a pain to deal with. [ He giggles. ]

Yeah, the first time I bought an egg, I had to wait a couple days to receive it. It was awful in a sense that I realized there will be times I'll have to wait longer than 2 days to reach a city. I don't know how I'll survive!

You get used to it sooner or later. I used to live in a city, so traveling through the wilderness is still not exactly my cup of tea.

I'm already pissed off, and I've barely gotten started! My brother tells me we'll be stuck in a cave at some point for a number of days. I don't know which is worse, being stuck days in a cave or a forest!

There's a lot to be said for fresh air. Even those of us from the city will dislike it when things are too stale.

Ugh! I'm so not looking forward to traveling in a cave at all!

On the bright side, you'll probably spend many more days here wandering through a forest than in a cave. And caves are much easier to find your way out of if you're lost.

I find that hard to believe, but I suppose if you have the experience, you would know.

On the other hand, I can't offer you much advice if you're stuck in a forest, hee hee. You'll need to solve that problem on your own.

Here's to hoping being able to ride around on an Onix will make things easier so we don't have to waste time!

I guess so. It's part of the plan, anyway.

That seems a bit dangerous. Why an Onix?

Not at the moment. I haven't been here long enough.

If you're planning on riding the Shinx when it evolves, I should warn you that its mother has a tendency to zap riders. Of course, that might just be her.

I don't think I would have thought of using Shinx that way, but thanks for mentioning it.

They can get pretty big when they evolve. Maybe if you start training it to be ridden early, you won't have a problem.
