[ That brilliant plan to stay off the network had been working really well for Joshua. At least until one afternoon of training his Vulpix took Joshua away from his Espeon and Luxray just long enough for him to come back to a batch of eggs. So it's time to break the silence and let a certain someone at least know he's out there.

Dammit you two, why can't you keep your affections to yourselves.

I have a few Shinx eggs I'm looking to sell off for... oh, let's say a thousand each. I also still have one from the previous batch I'll give away for 25% off. Both parents have grown since then, so that one probably won't start with as many moves as the full-priced eggs.

Out of curiosity, can Pokemon be spayed or neutered?

He's out for my head, but I hold about as much power over him as I did back at home. Did you forget that I have a small army of fully-trained monsters at my command? You don't.

Well, neither does he. [ There's almost an irritated huff as Neku absently looks over his shoulder back to the grass. ]

Just don't go picking a fight with him, okay? We have enough to worry about as is.

[ Joshua follows Neku's gaze for a moment. ]

I'm not picking a fight. I wanted to know if my mere presence would make him go off at me. If that's the case, it's something I'd prefer to be aware of.

[ Neku sighs, still not convinced but what can he do? It's god damn Joshua. ]

....Right, well. I'm going to go get cleaned up. I'm kinda covered.

[... you know sweat dirt and the works from training and being out in the grass and what have you. it's a hard day's work ok??? ]

[ Meanwhile Joshua is a little dusty on the edges but riding around on Absol means he avoids most of the dust. :> ]

[ No he's offering to pay, because unlike you he is holding down a job and has all this money to spare. ]

[ Ten minutes for him to talk to his Pokemon without worrying about Neku overhearing. ]

Anyways, after fifteen minutes or so Neku heads back down, poking absently at his still drying hair. It's not spiky yet even with the gel added. He's taken to having his Quilava out again, not liking to keep him cooped up for too long. ]

One of these days he's going to set your hair on fire.

[ Meanwhile Josh keeps on with his small menagerie, because his hair products aren't flammable thank you very much. ]

Yeah, no, I'm pretty sure he has enough sense not to do that. But thanks, Josh. [ a flat look and his quilava is just bliiinking at Joshua, ears wiggling. ]
